Yellowstone National Park / Grand Tetons National Park

Hello Wyoming!

We started the day off with the Albright visitors center in Mammoth Hot Springs. There are so many animals all around (a common theme for today). A pair od elk we just laying in the grass right outside of the visitors center, just chillin.

After the visitors center we drove down to the Hot Springs Terraces. It was very cold today and starting to rain, so we didn't plan any actual hikes, mostly just small walks and lookouts.

We drove down to see the Norris Geyser Basin, but along the way in the middle of the road there was a giant bison walking across the street! We were shocked to see one out in the wild, but as we turned the corner we saw in the fields next to us hundreds more just laying in the glass, it was super cool. All along the drive we were seeing bison, elk, and deer everywhere. I haven't seen that many animals at any other park we've been to.

After Norris we went down to check out the Midway Geyser Basin to check out some more hotspots. We even got to see a mini geyser called the Constant Geyser erupt, and the ranger said not to be fooled by the name that it doesn't erupt often at all.

Lastly we went to see Old Faithful and got to see the eruption, that was super cool too!

After Old Faithful we went to park up for the night, we found a free campsite right in between Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, which was our stop for tomorrow, so it was perfect!

We woke up early the next day to get a start to the Tetons, only issue was it was super rainy with no viability because of the clouds. So not a good view of the actual Tetons, but we still wanted to make the most of our day here. We started the morning off by going to the laundromat that they had by the entrance of the park. After an hour or so there we went to our first lookout on top of Signal Mountain, it was absolutely gorgeous covered in fresh snow and mildly snowing on top of us, again no view of the actual Tetons, but beautiful nonetheless.

After we got back down the mountain we went to a few more points for the day before it gets super rainy and wet. We went to see Schwabacher Landing, Oxbow Bend, a few a few others I honestly can't remember the names. We ended out night by finding a campstop up on a mountain outside the park. Definitely a place to come back in better weather.
