Seattle

*Alexa, play Hello Seattle by Owl City*

Day one in Seattle

We woke up with the beautiful view of Lake Washington. Then it was off to a coffee shop, we went to Slate Coffee Roasters in Pioneer Square. Everything here already feels so different than when we were here two years ago.

After we finished coffee we spent the next hour just walking around Pioneer Square until our meter expired. Meters are super pricy here so we took the car back to our camp spot and hopped on the bus back to Pioneer. We walked around the shops for a few hours before we went to Outer Planet Brewing for some beer before bed. Then we hopped back on the bus and went back to the car for bed.

Day two in Seattle

We hopped on the bus towards downtown to get coffee at Analog before getting a start on our day. After we had coffee we walked around and saw a dog adoption event going on, so we stopped by and checked out a few pups. Then we went to a sketchy Goodwill before heading towards a REI store.

The REI was crazy, it was huge and really clean. Outside had all these trees and a waterfall and a trail to test mountain bikes. We spent a few hours in there before heading to a Whole Foods for lunch. After we got some food we walked around a West Elm before heading towards the Space Needle and reminiscing on the last time we were here together.

After a few more hours, we went back to the bus stop and went back to the car to go to Planet Fitness before bed.

Day three in Seattle

This morning we hopped on the bus to go to Broadcast for coffee before heading into town. We went to Pike Place Market and walked that area for a good while, it was just very crowded and raining. After we were done there we went to walk around the stores at the Pacific Place mall, like Barnes and Noble, Kate Spade and J. Crew. We also walked up and down the streets before everything started closing at five because it was Sunday. So we hopped back on the bus and went back to our camp spot.

Day four in Seattle

This morning was thankfully not raining, just overcast, so we decided it would be a good day for some coffee (no one is surprised at this point, I'm sure). We took the bus down to La Marzocco to start the day. We spent most of our day there, it was about 3pm when we left the shop. It had just started raining so we took the bus back to the van and made some food. We just hung out in the car for a while, went to the park and filled up our water supply, then went to Planet Fitness to shower. Then just went back to the camp spot for the night, not too exciting of a day.

Day five in Seattle

Our last day in Seattle started off very lazy. We got up at about 9:30 and sat around for a while before making breakfast burritos. We didn’t even leave for the bus until 12:30.

We made our way to Elm Coffee Roasters at about 1:30 and hung out there until about 4:30. Then we walked Pioneer Square a little bit, going into Magic Mouse Toy Store until our 5 o’clock tour of the underground city.

The hour long tour was pretty cool. It was interesting to learn about how Seattle came to be, before and after the town burned down.

After our tour we took the bus back to the van, made some Mac and Cheese for dinner and prepped for our drive the next day.
